Dear Avstar; I think you would look fine with short wash-n-go style. Going shorter would be easier to maintain with your sportish lifestyle. I would go with a nice short out of your face style. Go to http://www.hairfinder.com to get some ideas or visit a local salon on a slow day so they will have time to visit with you. I agree that you looked good anyway and that your young hair can always be grown out. Good luck on your decision.
You have great hair, and the boxing issue is huge for a new hairstyle. I always try to grow my hair out and in the process it stays in a ponytail. So really I don't know what the point wa sin growing it out. Then I get sick of the long and chop it off. I just find that if I can't put it in a ponytail then I do my hair and never get the lazy look going. Right now I have a kinda punky thing going on. My hair is kinda bob but a little shorter in the back than the front. Its blue-black with pink highlights in the front. I am not telling you to do that but, I am just saying that I put more effort into my hair looking good when its shorter.
