I guess by now, you've done something different to your long hair since you posted about it almost a year now.
I was going to suggest maybe some layering at the bottom, you know those new texture layers so you can have a bit of a flip at the bottom. And maybe some chopped (sounds harsh, but it isn't) side pieces like the ones a lot of stars are wearing along the sides of their face.
