I'm Eastern European from origin and I have inherited  my family's hair: it's very thick and slightly wavy, but not entirely. My hair is quite flat on top. I have layers in it, but I don't really like the result. I have worn it in a ponytail for ages, and I am quite jealous of those women with thin, straight hair.

I COULD straighten it, but straightening it every day is very bad for your hair... What should I do with it, and what are good haircuts for my type? When I asked my hairdresser to put in the layers, she said  that was a good thing, but she did not know how it would look with my hair...

I'm desperate for advice!

Hey! Straightening your hair isnt as bad as you think. As long as you get a trim every 6-8 weeks, and use a hair mask once a week or so, you should be in tip top shape. I love the Bed Head Treat Me Right Peppermint Hair Mask. It smells really good and makes my hair really soft. I get it cheapest here:

Good luck!
